(Google) Earthscapes

A conceptual photography project that draws inspiration from abstract painting and aerial photography. The project first began during the COVID lockdown, as a means to continue photographing and finding new subjects while stuck at home. Using Google Earth and similar software, I explored the globe, searching for unique textures, shapes, and colours. Each composition is carefully chosen and lightly edited to create an abstract representation of our planet's natural landscapes, ranging from crystalline glaciers to hollow deserts. The resulting images invite the viewer to question their visual relationship with the world around them.
