Making my way through fifty years of family photo albums, digitising select photographs, this project is a labour of love dedicated to safeguarding precious memories of loved ones lost and moments time forgot.

Correcting image errors such as aged-colour wear and at times changing elements entirely to create a more compelling final image (these images have been documented to show this).

Through this journey photography and photographs are explored as both documents and records, but also as carriers of intangible meanings and essences that evoke powerful emotions and memories. The process of digitising these photographs not only preserves them for the future, but also reveals new insights into the lives and histories of the people who populate them. A celebration of the enduring power of photography to capture and preserve the essence of human experience, and an invitation to rediscover the past and its connections to the present

My end goal for the project is to eventually create a personal book for my family with these restored photographs, along with writing commissioned from various family members.
